At our next Des Moines Neighbors meeting Polk County Sheriff Bill McCarthy and Des Moines Chief Judy Bradshaw are special guest speakers. They will discuss issues ranging from police force in making arrests, conditions and how prisoners are treated at the Polk County jail, and what can citizens do to keep crime out of our neighborhoods. They are also open to answers questions from our group in any area regarding law enforcement. This is a unique opportunity for our neighborhood leaders to interact with our two top law enforcement officers. Meeting begins at 7PM on May 24^th at the Mickle Center.

Neighborhood SCRUB Events

There will five Mega SCRUB days in 2012. The Transfer station will be open the third Saturday of each month from April to October.
